THE STORY BEHIND THE B RAND
I’m Steph, the founder and soul of SRDS. My work blends holistic aesthetics with a refined touch, helping lifestyle brands build a strong presence, connect with their audience, and elevate how they’re perceived.

My path here wasn’t the typical route. After graduating, I decided to put myself out there, messy portfolio, zero plan, just a willingness to start. What began as a small side project quickly grew into a genuine passion.
I’ve always worked on my business alongside my full-time roles, using it as a creative outlet and an opportunity to collaborate with incredible brands while continuing to learn and evolve.

Through SRDS, I get to partner with amazing business owners who are ready to do things differently. My role is to bring their vision to life with design that feels strategic, soulful, and true to them. Because at the end of the day, your brand should light you up just as much as the business you’re building.

A YEAR ABROAD
LIVING AND
CREATING GLOBALLY
In August 2024, I made the decision to apply for a visa, pack my bags, and head to Australia for an entire year. I wanted to challenge myself to build my business, work abroad, and to see how far I could go outside of my comfort zone.
Every city, every new experience, and every connection shaped me in ways I didn’t expect and completely changed the way I approach life and work.
GOLD COAST,
Australia
The Gold Coast was my first taste of Australian life. The beaches and surf culture were incredible, and the city had such amazing energy.
SYDNEY,
Australia
Spending Christmas in Sydney on the beach instead of in the snow was surreal. The city had the perfect mix of iconic sights and coastal living.
MELBOURNE,
Australia
Melbourne became home. I lived there long enough to dive into the food and coffee culture, and connect with its creative energy.
CAIRNS,
Australia
In Cairns, I had one of the most unforgettable experiences. I went snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef and even spotted a little shark.
AUCKLAND,
New Zealand
We biked through vineyards, visited wineries, and spent time in the city. The islands were incredible and had such a unique charm.
TOKYO,
Japan
Japan is unlike anywhere else. I traveled around as much as I could, experiencing the fast city energy and the rich traditions.
HONOLULU,
Hawaii
We stayed in beautiful Honolulu and rented a car, drove up into the mountains, and found some amazing local surf beaches.
LOOKING BACK
My year abroad was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It gave me memories I’ll never forget and showed me how much life and your career can grow when you’re open to new experiences

Professionally, I proved to myself that I could run my business from anywhere. I learned how to manage projects across time zones, stay connected with clients, and keep things moving no matter where I was. Personally, it changed me just as much. I became more independent, confident, adaptable, and open to new experiences.

The year reminded me how important it is to actually live your life, explore, meet new people, and to say yes to opportunities that feel a little scary. I’m so grateful for that time and everything Australia gave me, and it’s an experience that will always stay with me.
